The Sun, Jesus Christ & the Coming Energy Shift — How Solar Storms May Hasten the Lord’s Work
Are you fascinated by the signs of the times? Lately, I’ve been watching what’s happening in our solar system — from the cluster of comets approaching Earth to the intensifying solar storms of this solar maximum — and I can’t help but see the spiritual patterns woven through it all.
The scriptures often speak of light as the essence of Christ. What if the increasing energy from our sun — with all its flares and plasma waves — is more than a scientific event? What if it’s a reflection of the Savior’s light moving through creation to quicken and awaken us?
In this message, I explore Doctrine and Covenants 88, where we learn that Christ is “in the light of the sun, and the light of the moon, and the light of the stars.” That passage struck me deeply — that His light is not symbolic, but literal. The same sustaining power that governs the stars also gives light to our eyes and understanding.
Could it be that the same solar energy now reaching Earth — the increased activity, the magnetic waves, the auroras stretching farther south — are part of a divine acceleration? A literal hastening of the Lord’s work?
Recent church reports even show an unprecedented rise in missionary work and conversions — evidence that hearts and minds are awakening across the world. Perhaps this “upgrade” in light is helping to awaken people spiritually, drawing them closer to truth.
When we experience extra bursts of energy — those restless nights or surges of inspiration — we can choose how to use them. We can:
- 💡 Turn that energy into creation — write, build, or serve.
- 📖 Channel it into scripture study or prayer.
- 💬 Use it to share light with others, strengthening faith and community.
Whether or not we fully understand how these cosmic patterns work, one thing is clear: Christ is the Light that sustains all life. The same energy that powers the sun is the same energy that enlightens our minds and hearts.
Let’s stay awake, aware, and ready to use the light we’re given — to create, uplift, and hasten His work.
✨ “The light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through Him.”
