Ringgold, Georgia – Are we treating the earth the right way? In her latest book, bestselling author Marnie Pehrson Kuhns shares what she learned in an empathic encounter with Mother Earth in Sedona, Arizona that could revolutionize the way we heal the earth and ourselves.

“I felt Mother Earth’s sadness for her children, like a mother for a struggling child. I learned that Mother Earth is an intelligent being who desires to work symbiotically with mankind and all flora, fauna, and elements. Mother Earth isn’t something to be fixed. She offers more healing toward us than we could imagine,” says Kuhns.

“She is our symbiotic partner in healing ourselves and the planet,” Kuhns continues. When we receive, value, and reverence the healing love Mother Earth is emanating, not only will we be healed, but she will as well. As we come to see the sacred in all of creation, we will also finally be able to live in love, peace, and harmony with each other.”

Modeling this innovative behavior, in her book, Finding Peace in a Turbulent World: Living in Sacred Nature, Kuhns discusses these revolutionary yet time-tested concepts she’s learned from nature to find peace:

  • Be yourself and trust the Divine – you were created for a purpose, and there is power and peace in living from your Core Sacred Self.
  • Release the “invasives” in your life – the activities and things that keep you from accessing the treasures within yourself and your environment. Make room for peace, love, and joy.
  • When we’re stuck for solutions, look around. Nature provides a remedy nearby.

Finding Peace in a Turbulent World: Living in Sacred Nature, published by Spirit Tree Publishing, is now available on Audible as well as full-color Kindle, paperback, and hardback versions. The book uses Kuhns’ original nature photography to illustrate the innovative, nature- and human-healing concepts she’s learned.

Along with the book is an accompanying journal/planner, affirmation card deck and a free online course. The cards use a combination of Kuhns’ original nature photographs with Bible verses and descriptions that help readers learn how to hear the Creator’s messages in nature and how to understand the symbolic parables through which the Creator is constantly speaking to mankind.

Marnie Pehrson Kuhns and her husband, David Kuhns, live on Spirit Tree Farms, a small family farm in Northwest Georgia bordering the Chickamauga National Military Park. Together, they focus on creating, listening, teaching, consulting, and working with native and medicinal plants and pollinator-friendly yards.

Marnie and Dave are available for speaking engagements about Marnie’s book subject, as well as about transitioning yards to native plants, wildflowers, and other pollinator-friendly plants. Finding Peace in a Turbulent World: Living in Sacred Nature: Many tools to carve your path to Christ I love how this book summarizes tools and practical ways in each chapter on how to strengthen your connection to yourself and to Christ. It has questions for self reflection and inner dialogue to help the reader understand and ponder the direction and avenues they have taken in their own life and how to navigate a more positive course in a turbulent world. I love the openness Marnie shares about all the ways she has discovered how to strengthen her core self and walking closer to Christ. Ways to find peace, to find strength and to tap into nature and all it has to offer. Many Christians would question some of the avenues she shares but the beauty is how she shows the intention behind it and how it's key to where we can find Christ since He is everywhere if we just look and keep an open mind and open heart, we can discover even more about Him and answers we are seeking. I love all the experiences Marnie shares in this book as they are some that I have experienced as well. So many possibilities and practical ways to find answers about ourselves and Christi. I highly recommend this well written book.

Finding Peace in a Turbulent World: Living in Sacred Nature: Finding Peace Marnie’s book is so insightful and enlightening! As I read each chapter, things would come to mind that I wanted to do better. Marnie combines everyday experiences and life lessons with inspirational thoughts and scripture to make this a very uplifting book. It makes me want to do better. I want to enjoy more time in nature and focus on more important things in my life. I especially love the “your turn” at the end of each chapter. This isn’t a book you want to read fast but you will feel inspired as you savor each page. I look forward to getting the journal and cards too. Thanks, Marnie for sharing your thoughts and feelings!

Finding Peace in a Turbulent World: Living in Sacred Nature: An excellent guide for finding your personal power and inner peace. As I read this beautiful book, I recognized my struggle to find peace and keep it within the pages. I loved how Marnie brings to light the truth that the deep connection between ourselves, our sacred planet and our Divine source is a profound way to root securely into peace. She has shared rich teachings, and experiences in ways that are simple to understand and follow. I did a lot of highlighting and decided I'd love to have the journal to move more deeply into the practices. This book is an excellent resource for those of us who long for peace and need a little help along the way. It is rich with truth and beauty. It's a book that feels good to read and brings transformation just because you've spent time within its pages.

The Patriot Wore Petticoats: A True Story of Revolutionary War Heroism: Interesting historical story I liked this historical story because I'm from Upstate SC, and I recently learned from genealogy research that Dicey Langston was my 5th great-grandmother. She lived in Traveler's Rest, SC, near Furman University. This book would be a fun gift for someone from the Carolinas who likes the history of the Revolutionary War, spunky Southern girls, and a cute, real-life love story. It's just darlin'. The quality of the book itself is just a typical paperback. You'll probably only read it once.

In Love We Trust / Second Sight: An enjoyable easy read Ms Pehrson has a way of writing easy to read romances that take you away from the daily grind of just living. Although the fast "falling in love", two days!, is a bit hard realize. I liked her historical books the best. But I'm going to read them all and also recommend them.

Hannah's Heart: Romantic passion and history make a great read... Based on the story of the author's ancestors, this is a warm, sweet, and hard-to-put-down story of Hannah and her choice between obeying her father or marrying the man she loved and who cherished her, but who did not meet her father's approval. What will it take to soften her father's hard heart and mend her own? If you need a good escape book, look no farther.

In Love We Trust / Second Sight: In Love We Trust & Second Second Sight Marnie L. Pehrson is one of my favorite authors. Some of her books are better than others. This book is not my favorite of what she has written but it is good. I love her historical novels....they are the best!
