Blue Asters attract pollinators - bees

Blue Aster Wildflower Symbolism

It’s a treat to find beautiful flowers blooming in fall. These are blue asters growing in our front yard at the end of October. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators love blue asters.

Asters symbolize patience, love of variety, and elegance. In France they symbolize the eye of Christ and are placed on soldier’s graves to convey the wish that things had turned out differently in battle.

While photographing the aster, I thought I’d take a photo of the beautiful Grounding and Trust Your Heart bracelets my daughter Laurel handmade. The Grounding bracelet is made of hematite, pyrite and tiger eye.

If you are empathic, it’s important to ground yourself because you can get too much in your upper chakras and experience anxiety, insecurity, or financial concerns because you aren’t as rooted to the moment or the earth. Just as we want to stop to notice the flowers, we want a good solid energetic connection with the earth to receive of its abundance.

Even if you don’t consider yourself empathic, if you’re feeling stressed, are dealing with a lot of unproductive or negative thoughts, or are feeling anxious, it’s important to ground yourself. You can do this by walking barefoot on grass, stopping to notice the flowers, rocks and trees, or by using grounding stones like hematite, pyrite and tiger eye. Grounding helps to optimize your root chakra (1st chakra).

The Trust Your Heart bracelet is made from malachite (one of my favorite gemstones that is believed to align the Heart chakra). The Heart Chakra (4th chakra) is a bridge between the lower chakras and the upper chakras. If you tend to be empathic, it’s important to have your heart chakra balanced because it helps bridge communication between your root (1st), sacral (2nd), and solar plexus (3rd) chakras and your throat (5th), third eye (6th), and crown (7th) chakras. Again, if you’re empathic, you tend to stay in those upper chakras and detach from the here and now. This can affect your stress levels and your ability to recognize opportunities that could stabilize your security.

If you’re not empathic, the heart chakra is still important to balance. For example, let’s say you are very grounded and practical, you might have trouble accessing the inspiration and wisdom of the throat (5th chakra), third eye (6th chakra), and crown chakra (7th chakra). Balancing your heart chakra can help you access more inspiration. It can also help you access the vision of your 3rd eye (6th chakra) so you can see your way forward and your next steps.

Check out Laurel’s etsy store for these and other healing-themed designs.

So, take time to notice the flowers, walk barefoot on the earth, and connect with your heart. This can reduce stress and anxiety and connect you to the inspiration you need and the abundance you seek.
