Luminous Reflections – Canoeing the West Chickamauga Creek
Reflections and connection with nature while canoeing the West Chickamauga Creek in Chickamauga / Ringgold, Georgia. I hope it inspires you to connect with nature and see and feel God’s presence in the world around you.
In a previous post, I wrote about the unusual connection I felt with nature while canoeing down the West Chickamauga Creek a few weeks ago. My post talked about the birds we saw and how I was able to spot and photograph them more quickly than I usually do.
There was something else I did not discuss about that day on the creek. It was the exquisite colors and reflections that were so immersive. I felt as if all of nature came alive – whether it was the water, the leaves, the air, or the foliage and trees.
The colors were vibrant and vivid, and everything seemed to be so alive. The reflections on the water, in particular were incredible. I felt one with it all. It was a beautiful, calm, and serene feeling.
The video below is piano music I created which was inspired by the reflections I saw and photographed. I hope it gives you a little glimpse into the wonders of nature and the immersive experience we enjoyed canoeing down the West Chickamauga Creek.
