How to Instantly Improve Your Ability to Find Peace

How to instantly experience peace when you need it by connecting with sacred nature and your Creator’s peace infused within it.

My husband Dave and I were talking about how we connect with God’s peace through nature, and he made this observation: “To access God’s peace in nature, think small and make individual connections.”

We often think we have to do some big thing to “earn” peace, but peace is found in the small, ordinary moments. And often it comes when we’re focusing on an individual connection with an element of nature. Whether it’s an oak tree, a sunset, the moon, the glistening of water droplets on a spider’s web, a green heron in a tree, the cardinal in flight, or the leaves falling from a tree in autumn — when we truly connect with something in nature, we feel our Creator’s peace, love and joy.

Don’t make it harder than it has to be. As Dave also says, “Nature offers instant gratification when you’re looking for peace.” It’s all about slowing down, observing, and being present — making an individual connection with one of God’s creations.
