How to Best Prepare for the Future

Are you ever concerned about the future? Are you troubled about what it might hold? Whether you’re going to have enough of what you need? Whether you’re going to be provided for in the future? Even when we’re blessed with abundance, sometimes we’re still projecting into the future and wondering, “Is it always going to be this way? Are things going to get hard? What if all this goes away?”

If this is a concern of yours, I have a word of encouragement for you from the Father from Ecclesiastes 11:1 and 2:

“Cast thy bread upon the waters for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven and also to eight, for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the Earth.”

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2

We don’t ever know what’s coming in the future, so the best protection you can put in place to be provided for in the future is to cast your bread upon the waters now. Give a portion to seven, to eight. Put good out into the world! Bless others. Be generous. Be giving.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:38

Your best bet for the future is to be generous now. Be kind. Put good things out, and when you need them most, they will come back around to you. Whatever you plant, you’re going to reap. So plant the good!
