Field Sparrow Song – Faith Over Fear
Nature Melody combining field sparrow song with relaxing calm piano, optimized for the root chakra to provide peace, security and stability.
The other day I was sitting out by The Old Woman of the Woods (a pre-Civil War oak on our property bordering the Chickamauga Battlefield National Park). I heard a beautiful songbird and discovered, via the Merlin App, that it was a Field Sparrow. As I closed my eyes and listened, I remembered Jesus’ words:
“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:29-31 (NKJV)
I felt such peace knowing that no matter how crazy the world gets, God is with me. He knows my needs and will provide.
At this point, an inspired idea entered my mind – I could combine the beauty and assuring messages of birdsong with the extemporaneous piano music I create. I opened the Voice Recorder app on my iPhone and recorded the field sparrow’s song.
This morning after my morning prayer and meditation, I sat down at the piano and a melody formed. It seemed like a good fit for the field sparrow song I’d recorded on March 4th. I sent the field sparrow recording to my computer, cleaned away most of the background noise, and blended the birdsong with my piano recording.
Safety, Security, and the Root Chakra
The piano music is composed in the key of C, which aligns with the first chakra (or root chakra) of the energy systems. The first chakra is at the base of the spine and correlates to safety, security, connection to the earth, having our basic needs met, and being able to stand up for oneself. This chakra aligns beautifully with the field sparrow’s message. The sparrow reminds us to trust in God’s provision and to exercise faith over fear.

As you listen to the Field Sparrow’s Song combined with this relaxing piano music, let the truth sink in that God loves you. You matter to Him. You are safe in His care. All things are working together for your good (Romans 8:28). When we put our trust in God, He will never let us down.
