Eat Your Yard: Virginia Pepperweed
I have started a new Eat Your Yard series of videos where I’m documenting the edible plants that grow wild in our yard and how we use them. Today’s edible plant is Virginia Pepperweed.
Important Note: Learn to identify and eat what’s growing around you. Remember, don’t eat anything from your yard if you have treated with chemicals or if you don’t know for sure what you have. I use the PlantNet iPhone app to help me identify plants. It’s not fool proof. So do your research. There are native plant groups you can join on FB to get identification help.
Virginia Pepperweed leaves taste peppery like arugula and cress.

Disclaimer: Not meant to substitute for medical advice. Do your own research about what you’re eating and how you use it and how it might interact with medications.
